Gabriella Swerling – a journalism student who we took on for 12 months as an intern – went on to land a place on The Times’ graduate scheme. This year she was also nominated for a Young Journalist of the Year award – and is about to return to the Manchester office as North West correspondent for The Times.
Based in Manchester, Swerling will cover general news, devolution, Northern Powerhouse, arts, education, environment, health, crime, technology, politics, business, transport, science, law, and social affairs.
Prior to this, she worked as a news reporter for The Sun in Manchester.
